This original piece of embroidery is made using layering, hand and machine embroidery, beading, couching, dyeing and many other techniques.
 
The piece was produced for Stitch Magazine, for a feature on literature as a theme for embroidery. I remember being scared as a child by the BBC production of The Signalman, so I watched it again as reference for the piece and it still is rather sinister!
 
It is mounted onto an artists canvas and is ready to hang. It measures 12 x 16"
