For the last few days I have been splitting my time between Mr Mouse (which is why he is taking so long) and a commission of a blue tit I was given ages ago. I fancy trying to get Mr Mouse nearly finished today, but here are some photos of the blue tit.
I have spent the morning changing all my crochet patterns to make it clear if I am using the US or UK stitch names. Not a lot of fun, but sadly necessary and then re-uploading them to the various websites they feature on.
I am now off to sit with our fostered wild kittens to get them used to human company and I will make my Mr Mouse groom pattern while I am in there
The valuer is coming tomorrow to let us know how much our house is worth and then we can get on with the next steps of selling it. Hooray!
We got a new bread machine that makes gluten free loaves, we have had a couple of slices and it did a very good job which is fantastic as bread has always been one of my favourite things. It is currently making a 5 hour loaf for James!
We have finished decorating and then we took a few days off to recover! We have painted the whole house from top to bottom and now I can reveal it is because we are moving house. We have been planning to move for several years, but because of various family problems, we haven't. Now it is time to move, we have lived in Swansea for a while now and we would like a change and so we are going to Newcastle (UK) We have friends up there and we love the city, so we are off!
On the crochet front, I started doing some last night, and I am planning to do a bride and groom mouse (a bit like Miss Mouse) I started doing the groom before we started painting but when I went back to him, he looked like a funeral director! Some changes need to be made and I am starting again in different colours.
I am doing all the jobs I have left for the last month like accounts, student loan forms etc. so a very virtuous day! When I have finished all that I will be doing an embroidery commission in the morning (hopefully the last!) and crocheting the rest of the day then when all of that is done I will be back to full time crochet. Yeah!
I live in Newcastle (UK) and I have been a professional embroiderer for over 10 years.
