I can't really go into too much depth about what I am making, but it is a tea cosy and it should appear in Workbox magazine in the winter. I have been working on the main section of it today and I will be able to create other tea cosy designs based on this section so it has been a useful day.
I am going to start Green Monster Mondays next week, where I put up a new crochet pattern every Monday, it will spur me into action and mean that there will be lots of patterns available for sale :@)
I thought I would show you what I am up to....
I was making an M67 grenade, but it was proving tricky (I know it doesn't look it!) so I thought I would make something fun for a change, so here is most of a Mr Skinny from the Mr Man series of books. In the middle of that I was contacted about making a tea cosy with a deadline of 2 weeks, so I dropped Mr Skinny and I am working on that now! I am so tired at the moment that I can't count, so I thought I would have a little break, write this and have a cup of tea.....how very British!
Things are going very well at the moment, I have been asked to make a crochet pattern for a magazine, so there will be lots of updates on the website and it will get a makeover! Wahoo! The deadline is the beginning of August, so that will be fun. I also have a blue tit and a goldfinch embroidery commission to do, but I am hoping to concentrate on the crochet after that.
I have been putting lots of stuff onto Ebay and I sent around 15 parcels out this morning, so the bank balance is topping up and the unwanted pile is going down, hooray!
I have printed out a work schedule, so I can be more productive and do the things I want to do rather than forget about them.
I am looking forward to a meeting at the local library tomorrow which was very interesting last month and I hope it will be just as good this time.
We are adopting a new cat, he is called Smokey at the moment, but we should get him next week after his vaccination and he has a lump on his tummy that needs to be checked out.
I am still going for a run, I started running through the parks instead of the gym, it is going well. I managed just over 7 miles this morning. I am not sure what to make my next goal, but I shall just try and do 7 each day for now. It will be nice if the weather cools down a bit as I am having to go out early so I don't melt!
I live in Newcastle (UK) and I have been a professional embroiderer for over 10 years.
