I have finished another PDF, it is a collection of 9 of my most popular designs and it is available for £1 here
I sold another stick insect, so I made that this morning, and I finished off 2 embroideries that I have been waiting to finish for ages, they are done now and are on my 'embroideries' page here
I am now going to start on a new style for me, hopefully I will be able to post all of the amazing photos of it in the next few days, if it goes quiet, you know it didn't work :@)
Tomorrow I am going to 'Itchy Fingers' again, I went for the first time on Friday and it was so inspiring and I am going to have a tattoo consultation
I have managed to get two more PDFs finished, How to Embroider a Poppy and How to Embroider a Dipper are also available here They are all £1 except How to Embroider a Dipper which is free!
Coming soon are How to Embroider a Kingfisher, How to Embroider a Seahorse and a download of around 10 of my original designs
A very busy day today, we had DVD orders for James' dad, so I burned those and made 4 new cases for future orders.
I managed to get my 'How to Embroider a Robin' PDF finished! it has only taken me about a year longer than I expected and it is now available along with 'How to Embroider a Jay' here I have also started work on 'How to Embroider a Dipper' which should be up in the next few days. I have spent some of today marketing these PDFs and now I am going to have a break for a while and then I am going to start Ebaying some more of our things that we have collected but no longer need.
I tried to get my gun finished last night, but I think I over stuffed the grip and so it is too big now. Hopefully I can get that finished in the next few days and I will be able to upload that as well
A busy day today, I have taken a picture of my hamsters, the sun made a brief appearance so I shot out with the camera! I also finished the wren. Hooray! It has been nearly finished for ages now. I will be getting him framed tomorrow. I am off to play now. Tee hee!
Well I am finally back to work today after the illness mentioned in the last blog post. Not a pleasant week for James or myself, but hopefully we are over it now.
Yesterday I made a hamster and today I wrote up the pattern and made another one to check that the pattern is correct. I just need to take a picture of him now, but the weather is still so horrible I can't get a good picture. It is a shame because it is exciting putting the patterns and toys up to see if they sell. Oh well, I am sure the sun may come out soon
My phone arrived and seems to be working perfectly. Hooray! I am going to put some of my embroidery photos on it today
It was my birthday on Saturday, so we had a few days off. We had lunch out, some nice nibbles and played computer games all day. Hooray! The festivities were then followed up by illness which I am only just getting over, so although technically back to work, I am still rather wobbly.
Today I have made a Nick the Stick that someone bought from Ebay, a Seahorse kit and I have packed my Ebay parcels from sales over the weekend and sorted out a load of tax forms, so a busy day of catch up. I did order myself a new phone for a treat as the old one (bought second hand a few weeks ago) had to be sent back because it was broken and had pictures of credit cards and home-made pornography on it! Hopefully this will be much better!
No pictures today, but hopefully I will be back on track tomorrow and should be able to finish my wren
I have nearly finished the wren. All the base coats are done, it just needs the detail added. I have run out of enthusiasm this morning to finish him, but I will be going to the Embroiderers' Guild this afternoon (it is the last day today) and will probably be able to get it done then so I can have some fun (it is my birthday tomorrow)
I have nearly done my crochet Glock, I have had to redesign the grip as it was too fat, but hopefully this one is better. When I have put it together it will need some details on the barrel and then I can put the pictures up. Sadly it will not be able to go on Ebay because it counts as a replica firearm!
I have not been doing much stitching recently as James has been unwell so I am afraid there have not been any blog posts either for a while
Here is the latest wren picture. He is coming on well and should not take much longer to finish.
I have not done much crochet for a while for the same reasons, but I have nearly finished a pattern for a glock (different from the others I know, but we thought it would be funny!) and hopefully I will be able to do more soon. I love doing it when I am listening to the sport and with the football, Wimbledon and the Olympics there are no excuses!
I live in Newcastle (UK) and I have been a professional embroiderer for over 10 years.
