I have had a few days off, so I am a bit behind. My letter 'I' is finished for the Embroiderers' Guild. I am busy catching up on all the jobs that have come up while I have been off.
Just a quick update, my letter 'I' for the Embroiderers' Guild banner has been started! I am just not sure what to do now...... :@)
Today is our wedding anniversary, so mixed emotions, happy because it is our anniversary, but also sad because it makes me think of Dad. I am not sure what we will do today, but I am sure it will be fun! I have put some pictures up, and yes, that really is everyone who came in the second picture - it was very close family only
It has been a busy day today. We started about 6.30 and I am still at my desk at 3 this afternoon (well I think my brain might have gone missing!) I have made 2 kits, sold a third, done a DVD for James' dad, sold a book, designed my letter for the Embroiderers' Guild, updated the Embroiderers' Guild blog, website, Twitter, blog and I still have the cricket and the football to listen to! My letter needs to be done by Friday, so I have to get on with it really particularly as tomorrow is our wedding anniversary, so I will be having a day off!
My new phone arrived yesterday. I bought it second hand and it came broken with photos of credit cards and pornography on it, so it may have to go back!
I have not done any wren today, but here is the latest picture.....
I finished my canvas work last night. I can now get on with more creative things in the evenings, like making amigurumi monsters and whatever else I might fancy
The wren is coming on well, I have finished the base coats on his back now, I am just starting the tummy today
This afternoon I am going to the Embroiderers' Guild, Robi will be showing us how to use vilene as a stamping material which I am really looking forward to.
I am trying to develop a new style of embroidery. I have not been happy with my work for a long time and it is time to do what I want to do for a change. Thank you for all the people who inspired me to do it even if they didn't know! Hopefully there will be pictures up soon of all the new work. It is very exciting
I have not updated my blog for a few days.....sorry :@(
The wren embroidery is coming on nicely.
I have been getting on well with my canvas work, although last night I didn't do anything constructive at all
I have been making some amigurumi monsters which I am not really sure about, but we shall see where they are going
I managed to get hold of my friend from when I was about 15 yesterday and we are catching up via email.
I am doing my wren today, it is coming on very slowly, but I am pleased with how it is going. I nearly had to start again though as I dropped the glue-covered bead, thankfully it landed glue side up. Why does that not work with toast?!
I will take the wren to the Embroiderers' Guild this afternoon, the first sewing I have done there for ages!
I made some more DVDs for James' dad today and will post them to Belgium later.
I painted the background for another kit and I have been able to treat myself to a new phone with the profits. Yeah! I very rarely want to buy things like that, but the technology bug really hit me with this and I can't wait until it arrives
The canvas work is still going well. I have nearly finished it now sadly, but I think it is really something I would like to do in the future.
James helped me with some amigurumi ideas yesterday and I am really looking forward to starting those when I have less on as I think it will be something I need to do in one go so I get in the zone.....!
I finished the two stripy snakes I was doing yesterday as today is a day off. We are meeting my mum for food and maybe going to the cinema as well.
Not much to say really, but I thought I would show you the snakes
I have not been feeling great for the last few days so I thought I would do some crochet. I finished doing the second Snakey and put the pattern up on the internet. I sold one straight away. Wahoo! Yesterday I made a stripy snake in black and white, but the colour change method I use was too messy. I am trying a new technique with a new snake in black and green. Emo Snake!
I made a kit this morning and I got paid for my seahorse article. Unfortunately we need to stay in for a parcel to arrive because it would be nice to go out for lunch to celebrate, this also means no Wednesday trip to the cinema :@(
We were talking about how we would eat differently if we were on our own, so we decided to eat our meals separately (except supper) and eat what we fancy depending on how hungry we are. I am currently munching on a salad for lunch instead of a full meal and it is lovely.
The canvas work is coming on.....
