I am trying to get some of my work into craft shops in Swansea and I have been making things to take with me to show, crochet monsters, lace, kumihimo, cards etc. It has been very busy, but means that the Page a Day has had to stop for now. It has been very useful, and I plan to continue when I have finished the crafting and the commissions I have waiting for me. I have put a picture of the lace I have been making, it is only basic, but it is a pretty picture :@)

It has been a bust day today, but I didn't get much work done, so sadly the rather ambitious task of completing a hand embroidered butterfly will have to wait!
I have decided to start doing a Design a Day as well as the Page a Day pieces. The design is an area I really need to work on and I would like to focus on a direction to go in, the pages are perfect for this as you can try new things and if they don't work, you only loose a days work. I think I would like to merge the idea of pretty precise embroidery and something more "me" but we shall see what happens.
I finished "Decay" it is made of painted fabrics and found objects I spent time this morning finishing off some of the squares that needed edging.
This afternoon I made the piece called "Meditation" based on me trying to learn to meditate yesterday. This is a quote I used to help me. It is supposed to look simple and peaceful. I am having a lovely day today. I have finished my Page a Day for today and I managed to get it done in my own time (the last few have been rather rushed!) I am going to the Embroiderers' Guild this afternoon and will see my mum, while I am there I will finish off some of the Page a Day pieces that need completing. Hopefully this evening there will be nothing for me to do and James and I can play games. Hooray!
I moved my old desk into the living room (where we work) and put the table back into the kitchen to use as a games table. We bought some Magic the Gathering cards today and we have been playing that this afternoon. I managed to get some of my Page a Day done, but I am so tired now, I will finish it tomorrow
I managed to get my page finished today and i finished all the embroidery on my piece from yesterday. I will get it finished tomorrow.
I had my tattoo finished off today, just a one hour touch up. I am moving to my old bigger desk tomorrow, this will give me room to have my sewing machine set up all the time and will give us a gaming table again (we bought Killer Bunnies and have been playing it lots!) I finished my Page a Day today. I am trying to free up my style from the birds I used to make and it is quite hard for me to let go of that way of working, but I am very much enjoying making these squares and I am learning so much from them. I started today trying to make one based on machine stitched eyelets, but my machine skills were way too poor to get the perfect circles I needed.
