There are no excuses, I am sorry I haven't posted for ages.

I have been sewing though. I have started doing more things with tea bags and the sewing machine. My first piece was this window, it is machined, then painted and pieces of sheer fabric were added to look like broken glass

Next came the lilies, they are made the same way as above, but these are burned around the outside

I was really pleased with the way the lilies came out, so I got scared and didn't want to make any more (stupid huh!) so I had a break and then thought I just have to get on with another one. So the fish appeared. I don't know what to do with him yet!

James (my husband) also suggested taking my embroidery up a notch and trying to really copy the colours of a bird as I go along rather than colour in the base coat and add stitches to the top. I am trying a magpie which is full of beautiful colours, but I can't do as much as I used to at a time because it is so hard! I am unpicking as much as I am sewing most days, but hopefully it will produce a really pretty bird

Well you are up to date now. Sorry again
