I finished the sparrow embroidery today and another piece called Tea Sutra that I have been wondering how to finish for a while. I am glad to get them finished today as I am going to Swansea to visit my mum on Tuesday and James (my husband) and I have a little tradition that we spend the day before either of us goes away, together. So this is just a little post to say that I will be away for a week :) Have a fun week, whatever you are doing!
I have nearly finished the sparrow embroidery. I am going to burn round the edges and then apply it to an artists canvas, so that should be interesting! If it all works, there will be a better photo! Let's see what happens!
I started a new embroidery yesterday, the background is teabags on an artists canvas, with scrim, bark and pressed flowers. It is really hard to get a good photo. Sorry.
There will be a sparrow embroidery in the centre. (Thanks Mum for helping with the design!) I will do some more this evening, but James needs the internet later, so I am posting it now!
I sold my wren embroidery yesterday, so here it is packed and ready for its new home....
Look what Nicky has made! Shirley sheep! (Well maybe she has a different name for him/her) It is always nice to see what people have made with my patterns. Well done Nicky!!!!
Right, off to do some more on my sparrow now, I hope to have more pictures to show you soon! :)
As you may know, I have been struggling with my embroidery for years now. For the last few weeks, I think I am getting my confidence back and finding what I like to make. Hopefully I will be posting here and letting you know what is going on!
I have added several new pictures to the embroidery page. I have restarted my Twitter account today (click at the top right of the screen) and I have been making cards..... that should do for one day!
I live in Newcastle (UK) and I have been a professional embroiderer for over 10 years.
