I know I said I was having a day off, but I have just spent an hour putting all my crochet patterns on Ravelry. I sold 2 while they were going up! Hooray! I got very excited and needed to tell someone....thank you!
My parents-in-law came to visit yesterday which was lovely. We went to Cardiff for the day and had a really super day. Today I am having a day off. I have been working very hard on the fabric book and it is easy to get obsessed and rush it. The exhibition is 4 weeks away....
I am going to cut out wheat again from my diet, it does not make me feel very well, but it is the only vegan food which seems very satisfying in small quantities. I am sure I will find some things, but any help would be appreciated! The bread machine is currently trying to cook a buckwheat loaf, but I am not sure how it will turn out!
I might go in to town today to pick up some fabric, but I am not sure it will be open as it is Easter Day tomorrow. I need some fabric for the fabric book pages, interfacing and probably some pink sheer fabric to make cherry blossom for one of the carvings. It is a wonderful Aladin's cave of a shop, I don't think they could get any more rolls in!
I think I have learned to spell bureaucrat which is a bonus! Here is the latest on the page..... I think it might be finished, but I will have another look after lunch. No work tomorrow as my in-laws are visiting.
I think I have run out of fabric , so I will need to get some tomorrow to finish the 2 pages I have left and the covers. James had a good idea to make a pocket for the back inside cover with some information about why I did what I did, that is nice to have an idea for that as I find the covers the worst to design!
Just a quick post to show you what I did yesterday. It is coming on! Is it just me or is bureaucrat the hardest word in the world to spell! I have to look it up every time (and it is probably still wrong!)
Sorry for my lack of posts. I have never liked posting things that are experimental until they are finished, but I should just get used to it!
I have finished some more pages for my father-in-laws book. The exhibition is less than 5 weeks away and I still have 6 carvings and the covers (inside and out) to do. It should be fine.....hopefully..... I will try to get over my fear of you seeing my experiments and post what I am doing each time progress is made.
I am starting on the page for "Portrait of the Artist as an Old Fool" and "The Bureaucrat" this afternoon, I will show you what I have done tomorrow. Feel free to send any suggestions to me. The exhibition details can be found here
